Advances are due 6 days from when you initially advance. You may take out additional advances up to your limit in that time period. As necessary, you may also request up to a 7 day extension to your due date in the app.
Instant Advance balances can be covered by making a manual repayment or automatically with Smart money deposits. Albert also reserves the right to set off balances from your other Albert accounts to cover your advance balance.
To make a manual payment:
- On the home screen, select “Instant”
- Go to Settings (⚙️)
- Under the “Advance” section select “Make a manual payment”
- Follow the prompts to make a payment
What happens if I don’t repay by the due date?
If your advance is not repaid within the agreed upon date, you may be suspended from accessing additional advances:
- If your advance is repaid within 15 days after the end of the due date, the suspension may be lifted when your covering deposits are completed.
- If your advance is repaid more than 15 days after the end of the due date, access to advances may be suspended for 30 days or more from when your repayment completes
- If your advance is repaid more than 30 days after the end of the due date, access to advances may be suspended for 90 days or more from the day your repayment completes.
The Instant Advance has no legal or contractual claim or remedy against you based on your failure to repay in the event the amount advanced is not repaid in full. Albert will not engage in any debt collection activities if your Instant advance is not repaid on the scheduled date, place the amount advanced as a debt with or sell it to a third party, or report to a consumer reporting agency concerning the amount advanced.
