When you turn on Smart money, Albert analyzes your income and spending to find small amounts we think you can afford to save and invest each week.
You can expect Smart money to save and invest typically $5 to $100 daily, and transfers can be as high as $350 if we think you can afford to set aside extra money.
To change your Smart money allocation:
- Go to the profile (👤) tab.
- Tap “Smart money.”
- Tap “Edit allocation” to adjust the percentage of each deposit that’s invested and saved.
- Or, tap “Schedule” to change the frequency and amount Smart money saves for you.
To pause Smart money:
- Go to the profile (👤) tab.
- Tap “Smart money.”
- Tap the toggle under “Auto deposits” to turn Smart money on or off.
Note: if you have an outstanding Instant overdraft balance, your Smart money settings can’t be changed or disabled without losing access to Instant. Repay your Instant balance to turn off Smart money. Contact genius for additional help.
In some cases, if we see your balance is low, we may focus on saving for you to build your emergency fund. This will temporarily skip your investing allocation.
