Your institution is not recognizing either your username or password as correct. First, please verify your credentials are working properly by logging in directly to your institution online. If they are working properly online, try re-entering your login information in Albert. If you feel that you have received this message in error, please contact support.
For security reasons, our account aggregator requires accounts with new usernames to be added as new accounts (as opposed to updating credentials). Please contact support for help adding your new login credentials.
We currently do not support Multi-Factor Authentication for this institution, so we were unable to connect.
The type of Multi-Factor Authentication your institution uses to verify your identity is not compatible with Albert. This could be a security question or a code texted or emailed to you. Try logging into your institution and changing your security settings to ask security questions rather than send a code.
Updated bank account online settings
Often times, banks will go through changes to their online login infrastructure, which could prevent the bank from linking to our the service we use to connect to banks. Unfortunately, if this occurs, it can block your bank from linking to Albert. However, even if this occurs with the bank linked to Albert Savings, you can still withdraw funds from Albert Savings.
Please log in at your institution's website and follow their instructions, then try to connect your account to Albert again.
Some institutions will require that you log in via their main site to complete extra security steps or verify that you attempted to add your account to Albert. Please log in directly to your institution and complete the steps listed. If after logging in on your bank’s website, you are unable to complete this process, please contact support.
Incorrect answer to security question
If you have answered the security questions for your account incorrectly, you will see this error. If you feel that your answers are correct, please contact support.
For your security, your institution needs to ask you a security question. Please tap update credentials to refresh this account.
Your account may need to verify your security question answers or there was an error in the initial attempt to connect. Please visit your linked accounts in your profile and update the credentials for the account there.
Online bank credentials not created
This error can occur if there your financial institution needs you to perform additional steps with your online login credentials to allow access to third party apps like Albert. If you have yet to set up online login credentials for your bank, and you don’t have any other accounts to add (credit cards, loans, investments, etc.) then you will not be able to use the features and functionality Albert offers. Albert works by pulling data from your linked financial accounts to create your financial profile, provide a holistic overview of your finances, track your monthly expenses, and offer suggestions.
Your bank is not supported by our account aggregator. In that case, you can add it as a manual bank if you are able to link another financial institution.
