Requirements
We consider a variety of factors to determine your Albert Instant eligibility, and you may be approved for up to $250 per advance. This amount varies for eligible members based on several qualifications, including income. We primarily look for:
- Your income is direct deposited into your connected bank account.
- Your connected bank account has been open for at least 2 months and has a balance greater than $0 (no negative balance).
- You've received consistent income in the past 2 months from the same employer.
- Your recent paycheck was received on time and has funds still available 24 hours after your payday.
I'm "not yet eligible." Will this change?
While the above qualifications determine your overall eligibility, we may look at other factors to increase your chance of approval. So hang tight if you're not yet eligible — you may qualify in the future.
If you do become eligible, we'll update your account automatically. And if you have notifications turned on, we'll alert you about the new approval.
Can I use a prepaid card?
Prepaid cards and cash cards don't have the necessary functionality to receive and repay cash advances. These cards aren't supported by Albert Instant.
To use Instant, you’ll need to link a debit card that's associated with the bank account where you receive your income. If you receive your paycheck on a prepaid card provided by your employer, you won’t be able to use Albert Instant because these types of cards don’t have the required verification functionality.
Here’s an abbreviated list of unsupported prepaid cards:
- Netspend
- Walmart Money
- BankMobile Vibe
- Card.com
- Go2Bank
- AccountNow Prepaid Visa
- American Express Reserve
- Money Network Pay Card
