When will my funds be available?

The time it takes for transfers to process will depend on the type of transfer and which accounts the money is being sent to and from.

The times below are estimates based on Albert’s processing times. There may be additional factors that delay posting your transfer, which can include your external’s bank’s policies or our own fraud prevention policies.

 

Transfers between Albert Cash and external bank accounts

Transfers between Cash and external bank accounts are completed via ACH transfer, a bank-to-bank transfer. Estimated time to securely process transfers between Albert Cash and an external bank account:

  • Deposits: 5–6 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)
  • Withdrawals: 2–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)
Setting up direct deposit with your Albert Cash account can help reduce your ACH transfer processing times to 2–3 business days.

 

Transfers between Albert Savings and external bank accounts

Transfers between Savings and external bank accounts are completed via ACH transfer, a bank-to-bank transfer. Estimated time to securely process transfers between Albert Savings and an external bank account:

  • Deposits: 5–6 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)
  • Withdrawals: 2–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)

 

Transfers between Albert Investing and external bank accounts

Transfers between Investing and external bank accounts are completed via ACH transfer, a bank-to-bank transfer. Estimated time to securely process transfers between Albert Investing and an external bank account:

  • Deposits: 5–8 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)
  • Withdrawals: 2–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)
  • Funds from sales take 2 business days to settle before they can be withdrawn.
For security purposes, deposits made into your Albert Investing account include an additional 5 business day holding period before they can be withdrawn.

 

Transfers between Albert products

In most cases, transfers between Albert accounts are available immediately.

 

Direct deposit

If you have direct deposit set up with Albert, your paycheck will be posted as soon as we receive it from your payroll provider.

You may have access to your paycheck up to 2 days early compared to other banks. Read more about how early pay works here.

 

Business days and ACH transfers

ACH transfers are bank-to-bank transfers. Meaning, that they are transferred between Albert and your externally linked bank account. These transfers are processed through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network.

Transfers made over ACH are processed on weekdays and business days (when banks are open), and are not processed on weekends or federal holidays. The time it takes to process your transfer can be extended due to processing times that are over weekends, federal holidays, or any other additional holding periods.

  • Weekdays, Monday through Friday
