How it works
By signing up for an Albert Investing account, you'll learn which randomly-selected stock you will be eligible for upon satisfying the program requirements.
To receive $1,000 worth of this stock, you must complete the following:
- Complete the signup flow to create an Albert account
- Sign up for any Albert subscription tier
- Create an Albert Investing account
- Deposit at least $1,000 within 90 days of opening your account
- Maintain any Albert subscription plan to keep your account in good standing for 6 months from the date you created your Albert Investing account
The stock will show in your Albert Investing account as “locked” and will be unavailable to sell until the date displayed. The free stock will become available to sell, or to continue holding without restriction after the 6 month hold period has ended and you've met all requirements listed above. While the free stock gift is locked, it will show as part of your investing account balance. This amount does not apply to the $1,000 deposit requirement. You can check the status of the requirements to unlock your stock when viewing your gift stock transaction from Investing.
If you fail to meet any of these requirements, the full amount of the free stock, including any gains or losses, will revert to Albert.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the free stock offer, you must be a first-time Albert Investing customer. Existing and previous Albert Investing customers are not eligible for this offer. This offer cannot be combined with other Albert offers or discounts for signing up or opening an Albert Investing account.
Please note that Albert may terminate this offer or change any of the eligibility or other criteria or terms of the offer at any time or from time to time in its sole discretion.
Stock gift disclosures
The value of the free stock granted to you as part of this offer is not guaranteed and may increase or decrease prior to your being allowed to sell it.
The free stock is likely to include a fractional quantity of shares, which when multiplied by the current market price at the time the new account is opened is equal to $1,000. Fractional shares cannot be transferred to other brokerage firms and can only be sold through Albert.
The cost basis for the free stock is one thousand dollars ($1,000) in the form of the free stock securities as determined by the fair market value as of the close of market on the day it is awarded or if awarded on a day the market is not open, the close of business of the last trading day. Receipt of the free stock may result in the incurrence of tax and you are responsible for payment of any such tax. Please consult your tax advisors for any potential tax consequences.
