How do I set my budget?

Albert automatically creates a budget for you based on your income, spending, and bills, and you can make adjustments to your budget categories and amounts for more control.

We estimate your budget based on your prior 2 months of spending.

To view your budget in the app:

1. Navigate to the “Overview” tab (📊).
2. Swipe over to “Budget.”

To customize your budget for any spend category:

1. On the “Budget” screen under “Categories,” tap “Show all categories.”
2. Tap any category.
3. Tap the pencil icon (✏️).
4. Enter your desired budget for that category.

💡 Only transactions categorized as “Income” are considered Income in your budget. Other transactions, like refunds, are included in their categories as offsetting spend. Transactions categorized as transfers are not factored into your budget and are excluded from your spending and income.
