Forecasting helps you plan and predict your financial future. It shows you how big expenses fit into your finances months ahead of time, so you can prepare without throwing off your monthly budget.
To view your forecast:
- Go to the “Budgeting” tab
- Swipe over to “Forecast”
- Make any edits you’d like
You can make changes to your account balances or growth assumptions and use our account and timeline filters to customize your view. Then, add events to your timeline so you can account for them in your long-term plans.
To add events to your forecast timeline:
- Go to the “Budgeting” tab
- Swipe over to “Forecast”
- Tap “Add event”
- Give the event a name, amount, and set if it’s recurring or one-time
Once you add events to your timeline, your future cash flow will reflect any dips or increases we expect these events will cause.
What is net worth?
Your net worth is calculated as your total assets minus liabilities. We predict your future net worth based on growth assumptions for those assets and liabilities, and you can view your net worth projections up to 5 years into the future.
Assets
Anything you own with economic value. For example: savings accounts and investments, like stocks and real estate.
Liabilities
oftentimes money owed to a lender, like credit cards and loans.
