To permanently close your account, all Albert accounts, including Cash, Savings, and Investing, must have a $0 balance. You’ll also need to repay any outstanding Instant advance.
You can deactivate or close your account by logging into Albert from a web browser or in the app. To deactivate from a web browser, visit albert.com/deactivate.
To deactivate or close your account in the app:
- Go to the profile tab (👤).
- Tap the menu icon in the top left (☰).
- Tap "Help center."
- Choose "Deactivate or close my accounts."
For additional help bring your balances to $0, follow these steps:
- Withdraw from Cash
- Withdraw from Savings
- Sell Investments
- Withdraw from Investing
- Repay Instant balance

Deactivate account
Deactivating your account will pause the Albert subscription payments on your Albert account. Your login details will remain active and you can reactivate your account again at any time by logging in.
Permanent account closure
Permanent account closure will close all of your Albert accounts indefinitely.
You won’t be able to send or receive funds with your Albert account. Pending and future deposits, including direct deposits, that continue to get sent to your account will get returned, which may take a few days to process and complete.
