You can deactivate your account to cancel your subscription, or close your account permanently. You do either from a web browser at albert.com/deactivate, or in the app.
Deactivate account
Deactivating your account will cancel your Albert subscription. Your login details will remain active and you can reactivate your subscription again at any time. You will continue to have access to any Albert features that aren't part of Albert's subscription.
Requirements
- Any accounts included with your subscription must be zeroed out. Bring your Albert Savings and Investing balances to $0. This includes withdrawing all funds and selling any investments.
- Deactivating your account does not remove any advance or loan balances owed. If you have an outstanding advance or loan, you will need to continue to make payments to avoid additional fees. If you have auto pay on, we'll continue to make automatic payments on your balances owed.
Permanent account closure
Permanent account closure will close all of your Albert accounts. You won't be able to send or receive funds with your Albert account. Pending and future deposits, including direct deposits, that continue to get sent to your account will get returned, which may take a few days to process and complete.
Requirements
- Any accounts included with your subscription must be zeroed out. Bring your Albert Savings and Investing balances to $0. This includes withdrawing all funds and selling any investments.
- Any additional accounts included with your Albert account must be zeroed out. Bring your Albert Cash balance to $0, and repay any outstanding advance or loan balances.
