To deactivate or close your account in the app:
- Go to the profile tab (👤).
- Tap the menu icon in the top left (☰).
- Tap "Help center."
- Choose "Deactivate or close my accounts."
For additional help bring your balances to $0, follow these steps:
- Withdraw from Cash
- Withdraw from Savings
- Sell Investments
- Withdraw from Investing
- Repay Instant balance
You can also text support at (639-37) for help closing your account once your Cash, Savings, Investing, and Instant balances are all brought to $0.
Deactivate account
Deactivating your account will pause the monthly fee payments on your Albert account. Your login details will remain active and you can reactivate your account again at any time by logging in.
Permanent account closure
Permanent account closure will close all of your Albert accounts indefinitely.
You won’t be able to send or receive funds with your Albert account. Pending and future deposits, including direct deposits, that continue to get sent to your account will get returned, which may take a few days to process and complete.
